Star
Wars Trilogy |
For an entire generation, the only way to experience
STAR WARS has
been on the television screen. But now, to celebrate 20 years of STAR
WARS, the trilogy returns to the big screen
in a way audiences have never seen before. The SPECIAL
EDITION are the films that George
Lucas always envisioned in his mind's eye,
but lacked the time, money and technology to achieve.
The realities of filmmaking two decades ago, and
the limitations of technology at that time, were also important factors
in the decision to go ahead with the STAR
WARS TRILOGY SPECIAL EDITION. Back then, Lucas
had to contend with a tight budget, deadline pressures and the technological
constraints of pre-digital visual effects and sound. There were also numerous
effects problems during STAR WARS'
grueling shoot in Tunisia and at EMI-Elstree Studios in England. Two decades
later, and with the critical help of today's state-of-the art technology
pioneered by Industrial Light & Magic, Lucas is able to bring the films
much closer to his original vision.

Ep. 6: RETURN OF THE JEDI |
When I first watched Star
Wars I was only 7,that is 1986 and when i watch now 1999 still think
and feel this is one of the greatest sci- fi film i ever watched. The character
was so real that i truly think that Luke Skywalker
and Darth Vader were a real thing. I played
Star Wars the Nintendo game when I was 8 when my dad got back from Japan.
I was so excited, that I grew up playing the games. I still remember that
Darth Vader can transfrom into scorpions,
beast and shark. The X wings was marvellous. simply classic!
Star Wars not only became the most successful
film ever made, a film which has spawned phenomenally successful sequels
(not to mention, prequels..near future) but it also revolutionized cinematic
special effects. Creator George Lucas and
a group of technicians invented a whole array of processes to deliver to
the screen ucas' imaginative conceptions. Live- action, animation, models
and matte paintings all come together to create this fascinating film odyssey.
Some of the most memorable scenes in the movie were the action filled space
battles, many of which were based on actual wartime film footage of fighter
planes.
