Based upon: The strange life of bizarre comedian Andy Kaufman.

Premise: With strange gimmicks and acts that were close to either performance art or clever hoaxes, Andy Kaufman (Carrey) made a quick rise in comedy, through appearances on Saturday Night Live, and then his role as "Latka" on Taxi. Then, in the early 1980's, Andy started telling people he was dying, but many people thought it was just another hoax... and then, one day, Andy was gone.
