END OF THE DAYS

comments:
Everyone is waiting for Arnorld's comeback to the movie scene. And here it is.
Lookin from the trailer, it's more to thriller action, and got something to do with christianity, nuns..

Release Date: November 24th, 1999

Title Note: My grammatical side wants to put a "The" at the start of this title, but it appears that there isn't one there.

Another Title Note: So, what does the title mean? Well, it appears to me that a double meaning is intended. First, as a movie about the end of the milennium and the impending end of the world, it could mean just that. Likewise, since the battle of this movie is centered around the Prince of Darkness, "End of Days" could mean that the world would be plunged in eternal night.

Distributor: Universal Pictures

Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger (Jericho Cane), Robin Tunney, Gabriel Byrne (The Man/Satan), Kevin Pollak, Udo Kier, Matt Gallini, Renee Olstead, Linda Pine

Director: Peter Hyams (The Relic, Sudden Death, Timecop, The Presidio, Running Scared, 2010, The Star Chamber, Capricorn One, several others)

Satan Note: Okay, this is probably a fairly strange thing to notice, but in this movie, Satan is also known as "The Man". Somehow, I'm reminded of Stan "The Man" Lee, of Marvel Comics fame. Okay, there's absolutely no significance to that at all... but still, it's something I thought of. Never mind me.

Screenwriter: Andrew Marlowe (Air Force One, Paul Verhoeven's next film, the sci-fi actioner The Hollow Man, due in theaters in 2000)

Premise: As the final days of the milennium wind down, the devil arrives in New York City, seeking out a human wife with whom to sire the Anti-Christ. His target is a daycare worker (Tunney), who soon seeks protection with an ex-cop named Jericho Cane (Schwarzenegger). From there, you can bet it will be big-time action.
