Detroit Rock City

Its a teen comedy based on the 1970's. Bell bottom maybe? Not quite an Edward Furlong fan.

Release Date: August 13th, 1999 (Formerly slated as an April release, New Line is wisely moving it to August to separate it from the hordes of teen movies coming out this Spring)

Distributor: New Line Cinema

Cast: Edward Furlong, Sam Huntington, Natasha Lyonne, KISS (Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss), Giuseppe Andrews, James DeBello, Miles Dougal, Monique Frehley, Melanie Lynskey, Nick Scotti, Lin Shaye, Shannon Tweed

Director: Adam Rifkin (1994's The Chase, Psycho Cop Returns)

Screenwriter: Carl Dupre (debut)

Based upon: The 30-year career of the clown-makeup-wearing rockers, KISS and their ever-loyal KISS Army, especially its heights in the late 1970's. (Remember that cool stuff that came with the Destroyer album? The stickers and patches?)

Note: This is not a sequel to KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, the first (and only other) KISS movie.

Premise: It's 1978, and four teenagers (who are also in a band) will conquer any obstacles to join the ranks of the KISS Army at the big KISS concert.
