UPCOMINGS
EPISODE 2
CHOOSING FANS' FAVOURITE TITLE
First of all we already knew what the basic
plot would be(the predicted premise) from my previous page (ey, just press
back, will ya), so what do you think the title would be? This has been
an argument among the star wars' fans. I've heard, 'The Darkside', 'The
Empire Strikes', "Despair Of The Jedi' and many more but I have 3
logos down here, which one do you like? I chose the tilte 'A Fall To The
Darkside'. Maybe U have heard better title from Lucas ot the team of Star
Wars Episode 2? Well, do keep me informed!
WHO WILL PLAY ANAKIN?
So, you still want it to be Jake Lloyd, unless if he grows up 10
times faster a year. So, Mr. Lucas has already confirmed about taking a
new actor plaing the role, after all the rumours saying Leornado Decaprio.
I really hope that's not true cause he doesn't have a Vader materials.
Anyway, I don't really think he's a good actor as most people claimed he
is. But, the one playing Darth Vader/Anakin must also be a good actor in
this coming epic, as it invloves a lot of anger, frustration, truth, lies,
darkside, force and then love. So, this one better put vader's role to
justice!
"Obviously, we have to get a 20-year-old hunk
to play him," Lucas said. Lucas made another, more interesting comment
regarding the second prequel ... but those of you with an aversion to spoilers
might want to avoid it. I shall put in later.
THE CLONE WARS
This is what Iwould always wanna discuss about,
the storyline, the plot of the second part of the prequels trilogy. So,
Clone Wars, huh? That definitely will happen, according to the resources
I got. Rumours have been spreading saying that Ob1 clone will appear in
this one, how many, we still don't know. Then The return of Darth Maul
(via clone), possible but don't think so. The clone war must be something
we haven't seen, i bet it's gonna be spectacular.
THE COST OF MAKING EPISODE 2
Is it actually $120 mil or $100 mil, who would
like to clarify things up? officially it has been stated $120 for the second
and third parts of the prequels. but, recently Lucas, said himself he would
like to make this second part with $100,with his ILM backing this project
up. How ever if others were to make the movie, it will cost atlease $250
mil. So, now we can declare, Star Wars as the most expensive movie of all
time, not the the other big budget movie, The Sinking Ship(which costed
$200 to make)?
McCallum
Talks ‘SW2’
Though George Lucas has been quoted as saying
that it will take a number of years to reach theater screens, word has
it shooting will start on Star Wars: Episode Two on June 2000, according
to the Hollywood Reporter. As previously reported, the locations set to
be shot at that time will be in Tunisia and Italy as well as work at Fox
Studios in Australia. The trade also reports that the film will focus on
the romance and marriage of Anakin Skywalker and Queen Amidala as the Sith…
or more specifically Darth Sidious… move to take control of the galaxy.
Producer Rick McCallum did reveal to the trade that Lucasfilm is looking to keep the cost of making the film under $100M.
The
same story also has McCallum confirming that George Lucas is committed
to shooting the next two films with digital cameras. The cameras are still
being developed and built by Sony with Panavision with an expected delivery
date to Lucasfilm by the end of this year. The camera would knock out a
number of costly, time consuming steps in the filmmaking process
Portman Talks Amidala
Natalie Portman is feeling pretty good about
having played Queen Amidala and the acting challenges ahead in the role
for Episode Two and Three. While talking to USA Today, the actress once
again commented that as far as her role of the Queen in the first movie
was concerned, it was "really exciting to be the only girl. She's
a good role model because she's smart, strong and powerful."Portman
also commented on what lies ahead saying that in the next film, "Amidala
is going to fall in love. She's so stony and severe in the first film.
It's going to be interesting to see how she changes."
